Safety & Limits
Important information about our role
Next Option Research provides independent research support for patients and families seeking greater clarity around clinical trials, published studies, and treatment-access pathways.
We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or clinical care. Our work is intended to support more informed conversations with licensed medical professionals, not replace them.
What we do
Our role is to:
- conduct focused, high-level research
- identify potentially relevant clinical trials, studies, and access pathways
- organize findings into a clear, structured brief
- help clients better understand possible next options for discussion
- where appropriate, help initiate contact with relevant providers, centers, or opportunities
What we do not do
We do not:
- diagnose medical conditions
- prescribe or recommend treatment
- replace a doctor, consultant, or specialist
- guarantee eligibility for any trial, treatment, or pathway
- guarantee access to any institution, provider, or opportunity
- guarantee outcomes, benefit, or clinical results
- administer treatment
- coordinate ongoing care
- make decisions on behalf of patients
Any steps taken after our research must be discussed directly with the appropriate medical professionals.
Human oversight and professional boundaries
We use advanced AI-assisted tools to support the speed and depth of our research, but all outputs are reviewed by humans before they are shared with clients.
Even with careful research and review, information may change, trial criteria may update, access may vary by region, and medical suitability can only be assessed by qualified professionals involved in the client’s care.
For that reason, all findings should be treated as research support only.
No guarantee of access or outcome
We understand that families often come to us during urgent and emotionally difficult circumstances. While we work quickly and carefully to identify potentially relevant information, we cannot guarantee that any specific option will be available, appropriate, accessible, approved, or beneficial.
The existence of a study, pathway, or institution does not mean a client will be eligible, accepted, or medically suitable for it.
Connection and handoff
Where appropriate, we may help initiate contact by email with relevant institutions, providers, centers, or other potential next options in the client’s home country or abroad.
Once those connections are made, our role ends.
From that point onward, the client communicates directly with the relevant medical professionals, institutions, or trial teams. We do not remain involved in treatment decisions, clinical communication, or ongoing care management.
Emergency situations
Next Option Research is not an emergency service.
If a client is experiencing a medical emergency or requires urgent clinical support, they should contact their treating physician, emergency services, or the appropriate local healthcare provider immediately.
Data and privacy limits
We aim to collect only the minimum information necessary to understand the case and conduct our research. Clients should avoid sending highly sensitive records or large volumes of personal information unless specifically requested as part of a defined review process.
Our work is designed to minimize unnecessary handling of personal and medical information wherever possible.
Acceptance of these limits
By using our service, clients acknowledge that:
- our role is limited to research and information organization
- we are not acting as medical providers
- all findings must be reviewed with licensed medical professionals
- no outcome, access, eligibility, or benefit is guaranteed
In simple terms
We help clients research.
We help clients understand.
We help clients identify possible next options.
We may help connect them to relevant contacts.
But we do not act as their medical team, and we do not replace one.
